uh oh. we're in trouble
It's very hard to be glum in a world that gave us Shampoo. Bizarrely, a conversation at work today (I was trying to explain Daphne & Celeste to my Zimbabwean colleague, who appears to have shockingly little knowledge of the importance of the Obnoxious Teenage Girl in pop culture), and I suddenly remembered Shampoo.
Were they a "good" band? No. Could they sing? No. Were they pretty? Not particularly, but nevertheless they were pretty fab in their own pink and glittery, shouty way. In an attempt to share the cleansing power of trashy pop music with you all, I hunted down the official Shampoo site, only to find that it's closed.
Still, in the name of public service, I give you a brief introduction to the wonderfulworld of Shampoo...
